Pool Repair
Vinyl and gunite pools are made from different materials and face different repair, renovation , and maintenance needs over the years.
Gunite is a mixture of cement, sand, and water that is sprayed on a surface reinforced with rebar and then covered by plaster to create a water barrier. Sometimes, due to natural changes in climate or landscape, gunite swimming pools can crack and start to leak.
A vinyl lined pool has a custom sheet of vinyl between the water and a cement floor that has been laid to fit the dimensions of the liner being used. The liner typically locks its top edge into a track located on the bottom of the coping. Liners are prone to needing repairs due to puncture holes, slipping out of the liner track under the coping, or simply deterioration from age and years of seasonal change.
